Reading about inter-scandinavian semicommunication, in the key article by Einar Haugen, I stumbled across this sentence: "Finally he was asked whether he thought Scandinavian book ought to be translated for the Scandinavian market, a burning problem for many publishers." Is it just me, or is the collocation of books and burning a little awkward? :/
